Hello you, hope you are well. Ah, the joys of Spring.

April saw the Keele All Nighter get re-kick started and what a do it was.

Thank you to Mike, Martin and Maddie for their hospitality in Gosport, Hants. Support those local Soul nights! And of course the Wolverhampton Wulfrun, Westgate, Long Eaton and Rolls Royce, Derby were truly rockin'. As was the Signal 2 Soul night on 26/4 at the Kings Hall. Same venue as the famous All Nighter, which returns Sat, July 20th.

I will be appearing this month on the 3rd at Rolls Royce, Derby, 3-5 Blackpool Tower Weekender(call 0871-222-9929 for tix) and 31st at the Westgate Suites, Long Eaton. The latter being the most fun you can get at a Soul night. If you ever feel depressed, the Westgate will relight your fire believe me! You'll find it 5 minutes from Jnct 25/M1 on the last Friday

Soul baby Stacey Stewart(pride of Roker!) has been on the telly almost daily. A pleasure to double deck with the Baking Queen at Keele. My old pal Keith Driver joined her and Tim Lovejoy on Sunday Brunch for a serious bout of stomping to Bill Black's Little Queenie!

How popular is the Whitby Weekender(July 5-7), well its sold out again for the 12th straight year.

Don't miss out on the November Blackpool Tower Weekender and on the horizon NEW events at Pudsey Civic(June 15) and Hull City Hall(Sept 14)

Look out for the Backbeats CD I compiled for Harmless/Demon titled 'Metropolis-Big City Soul-Stomp Time. Some absolute Killers on there for under a fiver. I think Amazon have it. A rare set of Motor City productions also out on the same label features special re-vamps of the Contours, David Ruffin and Elgins I did back in 08 that were never released. Really good too.
